Cable Knit Dress Rerun

So after moving (yet again, I feel like a nomad sometimes!) Mr. UC said "Screw it, I miss my sportscenter."  (Of course, cause don't we all?  I personally was missing ABC Family and some Bravo, but who doesn't?)  After wasting some money with our cable company during the first DC metro move, and only getting the basic of basic cable packages (I'm talking only network tv and TBS.  - hence my addiction to "The Big Bang Theory") we upgraded.  To actual cable.  I'm talking more than 10 channels, ESPN (phew!  I mean I love Mr. UC, but Sportscenter does not constitute morning news.  I'll stick to Matt Laurer thanks...), and for some reason, I catch us only watching the basic channels.  It's like we never upgraded!

Great transition!  (I think I am getting really good at this comedy/writing thing)  Upgrading.  Last time I wore this dress, it blew up all over Pinterest and got a lot of likes and stuff.  COOL!  I am getting some blogging credit here, I think...or momentum...I hope!  But because of the FRIGID (I'm talking 16 degrees) weather, I upgraded this look.  I decided to put a thermal tank top underneath (okay, they don't make them, but I had a long thermal that had holes in the underarms, so I cut the sleeves off.  High Fashion?  The highest!)  And ta-da! Instant warmth.  Probably makes it more attractive that I'm wearing BRIGHT PURPLE (I'm talking almost neon) fuzzy slipper socks.  Darling.  I just can't get any cooler than this, right?

Darn right, I look good.  That's cause, well... I am!  How many of you could see the awkward attractively sexy thermal underneath?  Or the fuzzy slipper socks?  That's right.  Those 20 something years of dressing for cold weather taught me well.  Now if only I could wear those thermal knee socks I used to wear with my high school uniform, I'd be in business...

Oh and by the way, has anyone heard of this awesome website called DailyLook?  It is fantastic.  I love it.  Each day they email you their "look of the day" and give you a link to the outfit and the items that make up that outfit.  And!  Those items are always ON SALE!  (Okay, I haven't tried to recreate the looks yet, but someone introduced me to this site, and I can't seem to get enough!)  So go try it out!
